New Book by Alumna Ruth Oldenziel and RCC Director Helmuth Trischler

05.01.2016

Edited by alumna Ruth Oldenziel and RCC Director Helmuth Trischler, Cycling and Recycling: Histories of Sustainable Practices centers on the concept of reviving older technologies and adapting them in our pursuit of sustainability. The book presents compelling case studies that document the historical development, successes and failures of bicycle production and waste treatment across the world, and how these technologies are increasingly being embraced as tools to combat environmental challenges.

This is also the seventh volume in the RCC's English-language book series with Berghahn Books, The Environment in History: International Perspectives.
