"Welcome to the Anthropocene" Closes after a Very Successful Run

Special Exhibition Saw 22,000 Visitors in Final Month

26.10.2016

The RCC and Deutsches Museum closed the doors of the special exhibition “Welcome to the Anthropocene” at the end of September, after a long and extremely successful run of more than a year and a half (extended from the original closing date of January 2016). The exhibition proved extremely popular with visitors, in spite of renovation work at the Deutsches Museum which made access difficult for several months. On average, the exhibition saw 8,500 visitors per month, or around 10 percent of total visitors to the Deutsches Museum. In its closing month, more than 22,000 people visited the special exhibition.

The Deutsches Museum and RCC are busy preparing their next collaborative special exhibition, “energie.wenden,” on the topic of energy transitions. It will open in February 2017.
