Weihong Bao Appointed to Prestigious Berkeley Chair

RCC alumna Dr. Weihong Bao, associate professor of film and media studies at the University of California, Berkeley, has been appointed to the Pamela P. Fong and Family Distinguished Chair in China Studies. This appointment marks the first time a professor from the humanities discipline will hold this position. Weihong Bao came to the RCC as a visiting scholar in 2023 to work on her new book Background Matters: Set Design and The Art of Environment.
