New Partner Institution: School of Environmental and Social Studies at the University of Tyumen, Siberia

17.02.2022

The RCC added the recently established School of Environmental and Social Studies (Anthroposchool) at the University of Tyumen, Siberia, as a partner institution for future collaboration. The research conducted at the Anthroposchool focuses on the impacts of environmental and climate change in Siberia from the perspective of the humanities and social sciences.

The school offers teaching opportunities to RCC doctoral students in its MA program Anthropocene Studies, which will launch in September 2022. In August 2022, the RCC community has the opportunity to attend the summer school “Space in/for Environmental Humanities: Reconsidering the Global through Studying Peripheries,” which will take place in the Urals. The Anthroposchool also provides assistance with research on environment and society in Russia and Siberia in particular.

RCC doctoral student Andrei Vinogradov is a senior researcher at the Anthroposchool.
