New Collection of Urban Environments Initiative Position Papers

11.01.2021

Following the June 2020 Spaces of Living in Transformation—In Times of Uncertainty, members of the Urban Environments Initiative (UEI) from various institutions across many different urban contexts were asked to prepare papers addressing one of three themes: 1) what is the urban, 2) the unjust urban, and 3) accidental nature.

Urban Environments as Spaces of Living in Transformation is the result of these combined efforts and brings together a collection of diverse and engaging position papers.

This collection of 12 short papers explores our relationship to the built environment, multispecies assemblages, and a wide range of social, cultural, historical, economic, environmental, and political issues that form the different layers of our urban worlds.

To access the papers, please visit the UEI website here.
