Six Scholars Selected

The RCC is pleased to announce that the following scholars have been accepted Carson Fellows for the September 2021 cohort:

  • Giacomo Bonan (Italian-German Historical Institute, Italy) on ″The Other Side of the Industrial Transition: Wood in a Mineral Energy Regime″
  • Diogo Cabral (University of London, UK) on ″The Scourge of the Nation: Modernization and Insect Eradication in Brazil, 1870-1945″
  • Kristina Lyons (University of Pennsylvania) on ″Rivers and Reconciliation: The Reconstruction of Socio-ecological Memory in Times of Perpetual Conflict and Transition″
  • Michele Navakas (Miami University, USA) on ″Early American Coral: Reef Thinking for the Anthropocene″
  • Miles Powell (National Technical University, Singapore) on ″Apex Predators: Encounters with Sharks since 1900″
  • Nina Wombs (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden) on ″Ice Loss″

These fellows represent the last set of applicants from the 2020-21 application period. The RCC is planning to announce its next call for fellows in the coming weeks.
