"Hidden Externalities" Now Open Access

Until mid-September, Simone Müller's award-winning article Hidden Externalities: The Globalization of Hazardous Waste will be accessible online free of charge. In the article, Simone (the principal investigator for the DFG Emmy Noether Research Group here at the RCC) focuses on chemical retailers Jack and Charles Colbert to show the externalization processes linked to the greening of U.S. industry through stricter consumer and environmental protection regulations and illustrate the limitations of nationally framed environmentalism targeting businesses in a global market.
