Joana Gaspar de Freitas Receives ERC Starting Grant

Joana Gaspar de Freitas is specialized in the interaction between humans and costal environments. Recently, she received a Starting Grant from the European Research Council for a project that she prepared whilst at the Carson Center, "Sea, Sand and People: An Environmental History of Coastal Dunes." The project will be developed at the School of Arts and Humanities (FLUL) of the University of Lisbon between 2018 and 2023. Working on the project is an interdisciplinary team, with members from such diverse fields as Geology, Geography, Biology, and History. You can find a description of the project here.
