Global Environment Celebrates 10th Year

14.02.2017

Global Environment is celebrating its 10th year of success! For the past decade, the biannual journal has been committed to gathering and encouraging scholarship that offers an environmental perspective on world history, giving a “voice and space to historical experiences from the most remote regions of the globe.”

The RCC has been a partner for the last six years, producing one special issue each year together with the publisher The White Horse Press. Themes often result from research projects here at the RCC and include environmental migration, islands and natural hazards, and the interrelations between urban and rural landscapes and societies.

Stay tuned for the newest special issue “Manufacturing Landscapes,” edited by RCC codirector Helmuth Trischler and alumnus Don Worster, which will be published in the coming weeks.
