10.11.2015

Carson Fellow Alumna Ruth Morgan and Carson Fellow Emily O'Gorman have both been awarded a major research grant by the Australian Research Council, under the umbrella of the National Competitive Grants Programme. Ruth Morgan's project, entitled "Australindia: Australia, India and the Ecologies of Empire, 1788–1901," intends to examine the trajectory of environmental ideas and practices between India and Australia between 1788 and 1901. Emily O'Gorman will be working on "Remaking Wetlands in the Murray-Darling Basin, 1800 to the Present," a project that will provide nuanced and in-depth histories of key wetlands with a particular focus on the changing and diverse uses, knowledges, and values that have shaped these places. Congratulations Ruth and Emily!
