Responsibilities
- Coordinate the realization of a subset of the Portal’s virtual exhibitions
- Correspond with contributing authors and copyeditors
- Track submission, development, and image permissions for project components
- Check content, prepare for publication, and upload into our CMS (Drupal)
- Research and assign metadata to content elements
- Research and write some content elements
Qualifications
- Magister, M.A., M.S. or Diplom in humanities or social sciences field required; current dissertation project on environmental topics preferred
- Strong general computer skills required; familiarity with social media, HTML, Drupal, and Photoshop preferred
- Fluency in English; knowledge of German and other languages a plus
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Proven ability to be organized and deliver quality results on a deadline, ideally in a museum, library, or publishing context
This 19 hour/week appointment will be made initially for 6 months with the possibility of renewal. Salary will be determined according to LMU compensation for “wissenschaftliche Hilfskräfte.” The RCC is located in central Munich and offers a culturally diverse and flexible working environment.
