Alumni Fellow Jacob Tropp's essay, 'Locust Invasions and Tensions over Environmental and Bodily Health in the Colonial Transkei,' has been published in Indigenous Knowledge and the Environment in Africa and North America, edited by David M. Gordon and Shepard Krech III. The volume is part of Ohio University Press's Ecology and History Series. Tropp's essay is a product of his long-running research on the environmental history of the Eastern Cape of South Africa.
