Alumni Sherry Johnson's Book Receives Award

The RCC is delighted to announce that former Carson Fellow Sherry Johnson's book Climate & Catastrophe in Cuba and the Atlantic World in the Age of Revolution has been awarded the Gordon K. and Sybil Lewis Prize by the Caribbean Studies Association (CSA).
While a fellow in 2010, Johnson worked on the final draft of this book. Her research, in general, deals with issues of climate cycles, their visible weather effects, and the consequences of severe weather events in the Caribbean and the Atlantic in the late eighteenth century.
The award was announced at the recent CSA conference in Le Gosier, Guadeloupe.
