Octaviana V. Trujillo (Yaqui) is the founding chair and professor of the Applied Indigenous Studies Department at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona. She is working with Tribal Colleges and Universities on climate change and Native science curriculum with support from the National Science Foundation. Professor Trujillo is a member of the national advisory council to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
While at the Rachel Carson Center Trujillo was working with the Global Environments Summer Academy.
