Julia Ismar, MSc

Visiting Scholar

Julia Ismar studied political science and international relations at Passau University and the London School of Economics and Political Science. She received her MSc in 2010 for her thesis on the labor rights of the Palestinian refugees in Lebanon. Until 2011, she worked in the Water and Sanitation Programme of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) in Beirut. Julia joined the RCC in April 2011 to work on her dissertation on water management practices in South Sudan. From February until May 2012, she will carry out fieldwork in Africa’s youngest state.
