Giulia Leonetti holds a master’s degree in philosophical sciences. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Scuola Universitaria Superiore Pavia (IUSS), in Italy. Her research focuses on the analysis of nonhuman cognitive systems, such as animals and plants. Through their inclusion as cognitive agents, Leonetti’s research aims to draw new insights into the concept and definition of cognition. She further studies the relationship between humans and nature and the intersection of biodiversity and biocultural studies.
