Catia Squarcia is a Masters of Philosophy student at Cà Foscari University in Venice. Sher earned her Bachelor's degree in  political philosophy, focusing especially on the thought of Martha Nussbaum, from the Alma Mater Studiorum University, Bologna, spending one semester in Norway at Kristiansand's Univesity of Agder. Catia continues to orient her studies towards political philosophy in her Masters studies, but is slowly entering the topic of sustainable development. She spent one semester in Germany as a visiting student at the University of Erfurt and one semester at the Venice International University on a research program on sustainability and globalization. There she was awarded a scholarship that allowed her to be accepted as Visiting Graduate Student at RCC in order to write her Masters thesis. This will concern the role of the human sciences in sustainable development research and their importance in shaping future citizens ready to support sustainable models of production and consumption.
