Letters of Hope: New Perspectives Issue Tackles the Environment beyond Doom and Gloom

09.01.2015

The last Perspectives issue of 2014 ends the year with a note of hope: edited by Elin Kelsey, "Beyond Doom and Gloom: An Exploration through Letters" offers an antidote to the narratives of hopelessness that are so common when we talk about the environment. How can we best influence and enact a shift beyond “doom and gloom”? Written in the form of letters, the contributions to this volume respond to this challenge and suggest new environmental narratives that stimulate readers to emotionally reflect on how we can embrace hope and resilience in our stories about the environment.
