04.07.2023 16:30  – 17:45

Location: Rachel Carson Center, fourth floor, conference room, Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This week, artist and environmental humanities scholar Jasmijn Visser (LMU, media art) will introduce how artistic practices can approach the complexity of climate change. From this perspective, she will emphasize the importance of analyzing the visual dimension of climate change within the media and within academia. In her research, Jasmijn explores key agonal positions of climate change on the internet and especially looks at how image and text function as “co-constructors” of climate change narratives.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
