Tuesday Discussion with Peter Krieger (National Autonomous University of Mexico / Reserva Ecológica del Pedregal de San Ángel (REPSA))

09.07.2024 16:30  – 17:45

Location: Rachel Carson Center, fourth floor, Conference Room, Leopoldstr. 11a, 80802 Munich, Germany

This Tuesday, Peter Krieger, a professor of art history at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, will talk about his activist work in and research on REPSA, a unique ecological reserve located within Ciudad Universitaria in Mexico City. This reserve protects an extraordinary fund of biodiversity, which however is stressed by the current unsustainable development of the megacity of Mexico. Among many other things, REPSA has been a place for imagining a new type of architecture that leaves only a minimal ecological footprint: constructive botany.

The Tuesday Discussions are free and open to the public.
