Film Screening + Discussion: Wer Wir Waren

Green Visions Film Series

30.04.2024 18:30  – 21:00

Location: Einstein 28, Bildungszentrum der MVHS, Einsteinstr. 28, 81675 Munich

Director: Marc Bauder / GER (2021), 114min, OmdU

“We were the ones who knew but did not understand, with all the information but without insight, replete with knowledge but lacking in experience. So we went, unhindered by ourselves” (Roger Willemsen). What will future generations think of us when we are history? The director considers the current state of the world and asks whether they will despair of us. He follows six intellectuals and scientists—to the depths of the ocean, across the roof of the world, and into the vastness of space—and sheds light on the capabilities of the human brain, the feelings of a robot, the legacy of colonization, and an economic summit.

A discussion with Janina Loh (Protagonist) will follow the screening.

The original version of the film will be shown with German subtitles. The discussion will be held in German.

Free and open to the public.

Reservation required: Please call 089 / 48 00 66-239 or register online.
