Luke Keogh Awarded Postdoctoral Funding By the Gerda Henkel Foundation

Project on History of Wardian Case

International Curatorial Fellow Luke Keogh has been awarded a two-year fellowship by the Gerda Henkel Stiftung. His research project is to write the environmental history the Wardian Case, a glass case that was used to move plants around the world from 1850 to 1950. Keogh will travel to London, Singapore, and the USA to complete this project. He plans to publish several journal articles and a book.

Luke Keogh currently works at the Deutsches Museum. He is a curator and environmental historian whose research interests include storied landscapes, creative approaches to resource histories, and museum collections in the Anthropocene. He is heavily involved in the upcoming Anthropocene exhibition at the museum.
