How do I access my stipend? Do I need a German bank account?
We are only allowed to pay fellows via wire transfers. We can send the stipend payments to a fellow’s home bank account, though it can take up to 8 weeks for payments to arrive. For this reason, we strongly recommend that fellows set-up German bank accounts. There are several online options that are easy to organize; successful candidates will receive more information in their welcome packet. Fellows will receive their stipend payments at the end of each month.
