Christiane Heisse is a visiting doctoral student from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London. She holds an MS in development economics from SOAS where she won the 2017/18 department prizes for the best overall result and the best thesis. She also holds an interdisciplinary MS in global development from the University of Copenhagen and a BS in business management from King’s College London. Prior to her doctorate, Christiane worked as a researcher at the New Economics Foundation. Her research is funded by the Stiftung Deutsche Wirtschaft. Alongside the PhD, she organizes seminars on the economics of the green transition with the d\carb Future Economy Forum.
