Felipe Jardim is a researcher and mentor in law, urbanism, and sociology. He obtained a PhD in law from Rio de Janeiro State University, Brazil (UERJ), and a PhD in sociology from Friedrich Schiller University Jena, Germany, as a joint PhD degree in 2024, a master’s degree in urban development from Federal University of Pernambuco, Brazil (UFPE), in 2018, and a bachelor’s degree in law from Catholic University of Pernambuco, Brazil (UNICAP), in 2015.

His research focuses on community gardens, the human right to adequate food, urban commons, urban food sharing, and vacant land.
