Maximilian Heumann received his bachelor’s degree in 2015 from LMU Munich with a major in Bavarian History and a minor in Cultural Anthropology. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in contemporary history at LMU Munich. In the academic year 2015/2016 he studied at the Norges teknisk-naturvitenskapelige universitet (NTNU) in Trondheim, Norway.

Before he joined the RCC in 2017, he worked as Research Assistant at the Historical Seminar of LMU Munich, as the Personal Assistant of the Foreign Rights Manager at Verlag C.H. Beck München and as salesman at a German boutique chain. In february and march 2017, Maximilian did a full-time internship in the research department of the Deutsches Historisches Institut in Rom (DHIR), where he conducted research for his master’s thesis, which holds the current working title: "Comparative Study of the German occupation time during 2nd World War in Norway (1940-1945) and Italy (1943-1945)".
