RCC Awarded EU Funding for CHEERS Project
Together with a consortium of partners from Italy, France, Slovenia, Switzerland, and Austria, the RCC has been awarded an EU-funded project under the Livable Alpine Space funding scheme. CHEERS, ''Cultural Heritage, Risks, and Securing Activities,'' is a trans-Alpine project that will research and develop resources for Alpine communities to protect their cultural heritage national disasters. The project will promote new national and transnational governance and intervention schemes in the management and protection of cultural heritage sites, and will also provide innovative approaches and tools to secure cultural assets at risk from natural disasters. The RCC will serve as the German partner in this initiative and receives funding for one doctoral researcher, as well as for related events and publications.
