The documentary shows the devoted struggle of biologist, activist, and mother Sandra Steingraber against the oil and gas industry. Sandra is determined to achieve a ban on fracking in New York State and fights with all her heart, time, energy, and money for it. When Sandra realizes that scientific evidence alone is not enough to enforce a ban, she visits anti-fracking activists in Romania, who have inspired her from afar.

A discussion in German with Martin Elsner, Technical University of Munich, will follow the screening.
