Carson alumnus Azeez Olaniyan recently published an article in the African Security Review

Foliage and Violence: Interrogating Forests as a Security Threat in Nigeria is the outcome of his research project during his fellowship at the Rachel Carson Center.

Drawing on the theory of ungoverned spaces, the article explores the consequences of poor forest management in Nigeria.
