New Book by Zhen Wang

Study of the Affinity for Urban Lake Landscapes Using the Space Information Database

29.11.2017

The use of GIS applications in the field of environmental design has steadily grown in China over the last four decades.

Zhen Wang’s new book examines various GIS approaches in traditional landscape design and consultation processes in order to understand, analyze, and recreate fundamental characteristics of urban human settlements, especially urban lake settings.

Affinity for Urban Lake Landscapes explores the physical features that drive us to forge connections with waterfront landscapes and their surrounding environments, and discusses some of the design challenges of catering to the desire to access water.
