Alumnus John Sandlos and Co-Editor Arn Keeling Win Inaugural Book Award

The book Mining and Communities in Northern Canada: History, Politics, and Memory, co-edited by former Carson Fellow John Sandlos and his research collaborator Arn Keeling, has won the Canadian Studies Network 2016 prize for the best edited collection. This is a new prize awarded by the CSN-RÉC which recognizes outstanding scholarly edited collections that advance knowledge and understanding of Canada and Canadian studies. Mining and Communities, published in 2015 by the University of Calgary Press, is the inaugural winner. The RCC congratulates John Sandlos and Arn Keeling on their achievement!
