A new book comparing the 200-year histories of the US Army Corps of Engineers and the Dutch Public Works Department has just been published. Former RCC fellow Maurits Ertsen is one of the editors of the volume, which is the result of intense exchanges between Dutch and US water historians within the cooperation program of the two organizations. The book is entitled “Two Centuries of Experience in Water Resources Management. A Dutch-U.S. Retrospective,” and is available as a free download here.
