Alumnus Fellow Martin Knoll (2009-2010) is organizing a RCC-sponsored conference “Rivers, Cities, Historical Interactions” together with Project Director Uwe Lübken and Dieter Schott (Darmstadt Technical University). This conference will explore city-river relations as an essential part of urban environmental history. It applies a comparative perspective, both in chronological and regional terms, focusing on cities in different world regions.
