Ingo Heidbrink Attends Diverse Conferences

Travels to Belgium, South Africa, and Iceland

Ingo Heidbrink spent the summer traveling and giving conference papers around the world. In early July, he gave a paper on new interpretations of the conflicts of marine resources post World War II at the Sixth International Congress of Maritime History in Ghent, Belgium. Also in July he spoke on European Factory Freezer Trawlers at the seventeenth World Economic History Congress in Stellenbosch, South Africa. Finally, in late August, he gave a paper on new insights into the Cod Wars at the Institute for International Affairs at the University of Iceland.
