Dan Lewis (Huntington Library, Art Collections & Botanical Gardens) will present on "Chasing Extinction: Hawaiian Avifauna Among Tropical Culture, Politics, and Law."
Historian Daniel Lewis will talk about his current book project: a history of extinction and survival among Hawaiian birds—both introduced and endemic species. The key questions he's asking include: what belongs? And what does it mean to belong?
The Lunchtime Colloquium is free and open to the public.
