Hal Crimmel (Weber State University) will present on "Drink: The Nature of Beverages and Their Connection to Place."

The global production of beverages, from bottled water to beer, coffee, or fine wine, is a 1.4€ trillion business that utilizes a significant amount of the earth's resources. This talk discusses our relationship to these drinks and what is consumed when we sip from a glass. How do beverages connect us to places and landscapes? How do beverages preserve but also transform landscapes?

The Lunchtime Colloquium is free and open to the public.
