Film Screening at Amerika Haus: No Impact Man

22.10.2014 at 19:30

Location: Amerika Haus, Karolinenplatz 3

US non-fiction writer Colin Beavan and his family attempted to live in a climate-neutral ("zero impact") manner in New York City for a year. This film documents the experiment: it meant no car, no plastic products, and no toilet paper; instead, the family rode bicycles and bought local products.

The film will be followed by a discussion with the public: Does Beavan's experiment offer useful ideas for making our own lives more climate friendly? How many of these ideas have already been implemented?

Moderator: Susanne Darabas.

Admission is free; reservations are requested.

This event is sponsored by the America Haus Verein in cooperation with the Münchner Klimaherbst.
