The RCC will be well represented at the upcoming international conference "Meteorologies of Modernity," which will be held at LMU Munich's IBZ venue at Amalienstr. 38 from 26-28 June 2014. Carson Fellow Nicole Seymour will present a paper in the opening panel on 26 June, and future Visiting Scholar Bernhard Malkmus will follow in the second panel on the same afternoon. The keynote speech will be delivered by Dipesh Chakrabarty and is entitled "Beyond Capital: Time, Scale, and the Climate Crisis." RCC affiliate Cornelia Lüdeke will present in the third panel on Friday morning, and the fourth panel on Friday afternoon will see a paper by Antonia Mehnert, a member of the RCC’s Environment & Society doctoral program. The final panel, on Saturday morning, includes papers by Elisabeth DeLoughrey and Graham Huggan, who are collaborating on several projects with us.

All are welcome to attend the conference: since space is limited, please confirm by email to grk-globalisierung@lmu.de if you are planning to be there for all or part of it. For further details on the conference, please see the program page.
