Workshop: The Edges of Environmental History

20.08.2013

The Edges of Environmental History Workshop is a full-day workshop honoring Jane Carruthers, President of the International Consortium of Environmental History Organisations (ICEHO). This workshop is planned as an ‘intellectual excursion’ immediately preceding the European Society for Environmental History (ESEH) conference in Munich (21-24 August). As well as exploring Jane Carruthers’s oeuvre and the idea of the ‘edges’ of environmental history, we hope it will highlight the work of ICEHO. The presentations from the workshop are all working papers for a planned book, The Edges of Environmental History. The launch of the book is expected to take place at the Second World Congress of Environmental History in Guimarães, Portugal, 7-14 July 2014.
