Rio+20 Earth Debate on Food Security

While an expanding worldwide population is certain, a sustainable food supply for the future is not. In preparation for the Rio+20 UN Conference on Sustainable Development in June 2012, worldwide experts will meet to discuss the topic of “Food Security: How Do We Feed Nine Billion People in 2050?”

After the screening of the debate, a small discussion with local experts Hanna Schösler (RCC/Vrije Universiteit), Christian Suchomel (ÖBZ Munich),and Bron Taylor (RCC / University of Florida), will take place.

The debate is being screened by the RCC in cooperation with the British Council and is held in English. It is free and open to the public.
